About Rumble Arts Center

Rumble Arts Center will be demonstrating Filipino-Indonesian Martial Arts. Filipino Martial Arts (also known as Kali, Arnis, or Eskrima) is thought to be exclusively weapon based, but in actuality it is a complete system of self-defense. Fighting drills use the stick, knife, staff and the whole body as a weapon.

Rumble Arts Center is an all ages, multicultural, 501(c)(3) community-based arts organization directly serving Chicago's Humboldt Park neighborhood. Rumble Art Centers mission is to provide an accessible cultural space that facilitates the empowerment and education of individuals and communities.

Their space provides for a variety of visual arts, performance and movement-based, music, literary arts, and media arts classes. In addition to their educational programming, they offer space for special workshops and cultural events.

By providing educational opportunities for all ages, they actively cultivate an environment where entire families can come together to learn, teach, and play under the same roof. The open door policy and sliding scale fees are designed to make it as easy as possible to walk right off the street into a rewarding educational experience, regardless of financial means.
